The Marine Informatics group has developed a number of data delivery and visualisation Services for marine model data. These use both Web Service and OpenDAP technology to deliver data to clients. This capability puts the NCOF at the forefront of new technology for delivering operational marine data.

Current data browse services can be found on the GODIVA live access web site www.nerc-essc.ac.uk/godiva and the GMES MERSEA OpenDAP service can be found at www.nerc-essc.ac.uk:9090/dodsC/

Further research is underway into OGC compliant Web Services for 4D geospatial data, and into the use of geospatial database technology to deliver new capability in handling large volumes of gridded marine data.
